Gi and Bess Reunited!

Gi and Bess were reunited on Wednesday! For those of you who are new to this blog, my awesome writer friend, Emily Chapman, and I wrote AIN'T WE GOT FUN which is an epistolary novella set in the 1930s about two sisters, Gi and Bess Rowland. We live-blogged the story in January of 2015. I wrote Gi, Em wrote Bess. I live in the North. Em lives in the South. We met once in 2013 when her family came up to NY so it had been THREE LONG YEARS since we had actually seen each other in person. Imagine our delight when we found out my brother only lives about 2 hours from where she's going to school! I'm so thankful we were able to meet up, eat food, and that I could see the film set her school is making of the Norwegian underground resistance during WWII. Ummm, totally my thing!

My sister-in-law, Maria, was also able to meet Emily which was awesome since Maria edited Ain't We Got Fun for us! And Emily got some baby snuggles from my niece, Chiara. =)

Love you, Bess! So great to see you and I hope we can get together again soon!
