March For Life 2013

More than half a million people.
Marching for life.
Praying for an end to abortion.
 Taking a stand.
Being a voice for the voiceless.
A Pro-Life generation.
We can make a difference.

"America you are beautiful . . . and blessed . . . . The ultimate test of your greatness is the way you treat every human being, but especially the weakest and most defenseless. If you want equal justice for all and true freedom and lasting peace, then America, defend life." - Pope John Paul II

I went with my youth group to the March For Life in Washington D.C. We joined more than HALF A MILLION Pro-Life people in taking a stand for life. Along with the March we did a lot of site seeing, we went to Mass and a youth rally, ate lots of food and said lots of prayers. I'm blessed to have a group of great Catholic friends, adults and our awesome priest that went with us. To sum it up, the March For Life was huge and amazing...there's a whole generation of youth who are Pro-Life, rooted in their faith and won't give up on this fight. And that is incredibly amazing, my friends.

Note: I didn't take my Nikon with me, so the pictures below aren't that amazing. Okay, continue...

Have you ever been to the March For Life?

  1. i have never been to one; not sure if i've even heard of it... but i'm totally with you on this. abortion is something i feel so strongly about, i can't talk about it without tearing up. i'm so glad there are more people out there who feel the same way--maybe one day what we do to stand up for those who can't defend themselves, and what we do to oppose abortion will make a difference. :)

    (neat pictures, too, Emily! :))

  2. I have never been but i would love to go.

  3. Half a million people!? That's wonderful! Awesome that so many people were there taking a stand for life! How exciting that you were able to go!
